History

The Katherine Country Music Muster Association was established to lift the spirits of those affected by the devastating floods in 1998. The association is a non profit organisation where all responsibilities and undertakings are carried out by volunteers of the community.

Our Visions

To become the Country Music capital of the Northern Territory by:

  • Hosting an annual Country Music Festival in Katherine
  • Hosting regular community event
  • Promoting Katherine as the home of Country Music
  • Supporting & promoting the development of local talent
  • Proving economic growth benefits for Katherine and the region

Amber hit Number 1 on the CMC Top 30 Countdown with her clip"˜Things That Bring Me Down" (first single from "The Mile") as well as securing Number 3 on the Country Music Radio Chart with the song. To top off her album, "The Mile"reached Number 4 on the Australian Country ARIA Chart, an amazing achievement for a debut album!

Dianne Lindsay

Dianne, daughter of country music greats, Reg. Lindsay and Heather McKean, has always had a burning desire to entertain, however, the responsibility of earning a living and bringing up a young family in the past has kept Dianne more than occupied. Now with her family mainly grown-up, for the first time she has the chance to follow her dreams and is certainly doing that in a big way.

Harmony James

Harmony James spends her days in the wide open spaces of the Northern Territory's Barkly region. Her nights are filled with music making it, listening to it and writing it. Harmony knows country; she's lived it and has the scars to prove it. She has been thrown off horses, trampled by cattle, had her heart broken by a saddle bronc rider and if anyone is qualified to sing country its her.

Tom Curtain

Tom began singing his own songs at barbecues on Mt Sanford Station and then at the rodeos and campdrafts around the Territory.In June 2002 Tom won the Best Male Vocal category at the Adelaide River Country Music Festival and gained entry to the CMAA College of Country Music course in Tamworth, January 2003. It was here that he met the renowned Garth Porter and was reassured by his down-to-earth nature and his obvious passion for Australian country music.
