Jess Ribeiro and The Bone Collectors
Jess Ribeiro and The Bone Collectors slowly evolved out of many warm tropical nights jamming on balconies and courtyards in Darwin, Australia. Equipped with a swag of songs Jessie Jane Ribeiro (formerly la'trapera) would sing enchantingly into the night with her delicate strumming style, shepherded by the Bone Collectors Rob Law and Damian Meoli. Having played around Darwin, Melbourne and Brisbane for a long time as a solo artist, Jess was gradually joined on stage by the Bone collectors, who soon found their space in her songs. The name is inspired by an ancient myth about a spirit being who wanders the desert collecting bones and singing them back to life. In 2009 ,Jess Ribeiro and The Bone Collectors are working towards the release of their first album while travelling around parts of the country to promote the release of their current EP Pilgrimage. They have just added a new bass player and good friend Evan Lorden. check em out!!!
Texas Rose - Champ
What can one say about Texas Rose, she has broken through in her own way, winner of lots of awards for singing, songwriting, best live performer, poetry, speedway driving, best snag in a fishing comp, best bundy drinker and for being a legend.
Beccy Cole once stated “ Texas Rose is the best vocalist on the country music circuit, her range is immense, her stage presence unsurpassed” Not bad for a bushie,
Texas hails from a small, southern N.S.W. country town called Narrandera situated along the mighty Murrumbidgee river. Plenty of room for inspiration, and the fishin isn’t bad neither. From the banks of the bidgee Texas has written some classic songs, which she has taken with her to delight and enthrall her audience’s all over Australia. Well known for her live performances and wicked sense of humour, the act that everyone raves about is headed you’re way. Accompanied by daughter Satynn on percussion, and the occasional backing vocal, Texas looks forward to making new friends, and catching up with old ones,
An performer not to be missed, it seems that you never know who’s going to show up at a Texas Rose concert to interact and enjoy this outstanding entertainer, ( even the Governor General Quinten Bryce, who wrote a personal letter of thanks to Texas )
Texas will have copies of her latest C.D ‘Rock me mama’ available for purchase, her first covers album and it’s a bewdy
Gleny Rae Virus & T/Worth Playboys
Combining the big band sentiments of western swing with the slap and smack of rockabilly roots, Gleny Rae Virus and her Tamworth Playboys put the swing back into country music. One half of the well traveled Toe Sucking Cowgirls (Golden Guitar finalists), Gleny Rae Virus has assembled a fine group of swingin’ playboys to create a vamped up version of the dance hall days. All the style of the 40s and the fizz of the 50s is harnessed then spiced up with fresh interpretations and original songs.

Playing since he was ten years of age, this talented self taught balladeer from a cattle property at Comet in North Queensland and is making a mark as a singer and writer already. Attending the Camerata in Tamworth 2008 on the ABBA scholarship is bound to sharpen those skills even more.
